Hey, I’m Shane-Louise, a professional photo editor, reluctant runner, part-time adventurer, full-time Samoyed chaser, and the face behind Image Envy Editing.

This isn’t your usual polished business blog. No pitches, no jargon. Just a place to share my real life - what I’m doing, where I’m going, what I’m loving (and maybe loathing), and a few tips thrown in for good measure. If you like dogs, creativity, the coast, the mountains, photography, and outdoor adventures, you’ll probably enjoy it here.

What You’ll Find on This Blog:

• Adventures: From escapes to the wild, muddy forest walks to reluctant jogs (I try), and spontaneous road trips with my partner and furball in our campervan.

• Real-life moments: Working from home, finding balance, navigating routines, and those small joyful wins that make it all feel worth it.

• Dog content: My Samoyed is a keen runner, unlike me. She's photogenic, fluffy, fast, and completely running the show.

• Photography & editing tips: Simple, useful advice from behind the screen. What I use. What works. What doesn’t. An editor's/ex photographers tips to help your photography!

• Place reviews: Honest takes on the places I visit, especially if they’re good for dogs, great for photos, or bad for overpriced ice cream.

A Bit More About Me

I run a small photo editing business - Image Envy Editing - where I help other creatives by handling the post-production side of things. I work with photographers and videographers on everything from weddings and portraits to products and video reels, and anything in between.

I love the creative side of what I do, but I also love the freedom it gives me to work from anywhere (although I rarely do as I love my office and IT setup), walk often, and chase slow living with intention. This blog is just an extension of that.

Why Now?

Honestly? I think there is an awful lot of insincerity out there, a lot of pitchy stuff and oh, look at this, you can have what I've got if you buy this! (Massive eye roll) Instagram is fun, but it’s fleeting. I wanted a place where I could post a photo and a paragraph without needing to make it “reel-worthy.” A slower space. A more honest one.

So here we are.
